THINK CALNE is a new initiative launched by the Calne Chamber of Commerce in recognition of the fact that these are hard times for everyone in the town - residents and businesses alike.
We are trying to promote and encourage supporting businesses within the town as by buying goods locally this helps to protect the livelihoods of businesses in the town of which a large percentage of the employed population are based in and around the Calne area.
THINK CALNE seeks to energise shoppers and businesses alike who live, work or trade within the Calne community and outlying villages to give local businesses a chance to provide them with the goods and services they need before going further afield. We have a small but vibrant business community that can offer most of the products and services that what shoppers require. We recognise that money is tight and trade is being affected to the point where a small number of businesses have had to close whilst others have reluctantly had to take reduce their staffing levels or reduce working hours.
All members of Calne Chamber are encouraged to THINK CALNE and we have a member referral scheme in place for any business looking for a particular product or service available within the town in order to help local businesses and boost the local economy.

These are hard times for everyone but by bringing together our community spirit and everyone in the town helping to support the local economy, we can try to work through this and help to protect and safeguard the jobs of others.
